No Place Like Home by Amy Arbus features Americans at home in spaces rich with colour, oddities and origin stories. There are huts, synagogues and Frank Gehry-designed lifeguard stations, all transformed into homes for some very idiosyncratic people including icon Dennis Hopper, artist Kenny Scharf, and cabaret performer John Sex. It’s also heavy on OTT ‘80s style, Memphis, Gehry and Frank Lloyd Wright, which translates of course to HEAVEN.
